About
Originally from Tiptonville, Tennessee, Larry returned to West Tennessee after serving in the Marines during the Vietnam War. He attended The University of Tennessee, Martin following his time in the service before beginning his insurance career in 1972 with Combined Insurance Company, headquartered in Chicago. In 1976, he founded his own independent insurance agency, White & Associates Insurance, and began by working out of the trunk of his car. Soon after, he hired his first employee, Laura Carnell, who is still employed today.
In 1980, White & Associates was awarded one of the first Allstate Independent Agency contracts in Tennessee and grew to be recognized as the top producing financial services Allstate Independent Agency in the country in 2000.Through the years, the agency has had success in partnering and acquiring numerous independent agencies in West Tennessee, Missouri and Arkansas. We currently serve customers from 12 locations. The W&A home office continues to be located in a historic, former hospital building in downtown, Dyersburg.
Over the years, Larry has served on numerous boards and within many impactful organizations. Of all his achievements, his greatest is being husband to his wife, Kay, father to Whitney and grandfather to Edie, Woods, and Bennett.
About
Tommy joined White & Associates in 2004. He is a double degree graduate of The University of Tennessee at Martin and the 2015 Insurors of TN Young Agent of the Year award recipient. Tommy and his wife, Whitney, have three children: Edie, Woods and Bennett. When not on the road for sporting events, their family loves a good day on the lake. Tommy enjoys biking and watching his two favorite teams, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Tennessee Volunteers.

Gutsiest thing you have ever done?
The gutsiest I can think of was during the Dyersburg Leadership retreat when we had to climb to the top of the light pole (harnessed). The last step to get to the top was tough… I can't stand heights. I'm not much into extreme adventure.
Something good that happened today?
I've been out of town all week. Happy I was able to see my family before going into work this morning.
About
Whitney officially joined White & Associates in 2003. Unofficially, she has been helping her dad at the office since she was old enough to talk. Not too many people can say that they love being able to work with their family, but Whitney enjoys every minute of being able to work alongside her parents and husband each day, as well as others who have become family over the years. Whitney loves spending time with her three children, Edie, Woods and Bennett, especially when they are somewhere warm. She enjoys devoting time to give back to her hometown of Dyersburg and serving on the Dyersburg City School Board.

How did you meet your husband?
We had a business class together at UT-Martin but didn't start talking until one night at The Pub (Martin grads all have great memories of The Pub). We asked each other to go to our fraternity/sorority socials and the rest is history.

Smoked paprika right now....thanks to Tona Roberts and her black bean recipe.

Cate joined W&A in 2014 after spending several valuable years with the United States Senate. She is a happy graduate from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville – Go Vols! Cate and her husband, Eric, have two boys, Everett and Ethan, and a rescue pup named Franklin. They enjoy all things to do with their boys, Sunday family dinners, and traveling to visit their many nieces and nephews. Cate is an avid Harry Potter and Chronicles of Narnia fan, and she can recite most any classic Disney movie. She is passionate about recruiting and developing new insurance agents and promoting the fantastic people who make up W&A.

Daniel Baldwin is an Arkansas native and a graduate of the University of Arkansas. Daniel invested 5 years working with the National Resources Conservation Service Department of the US Department of Agriculture as an irrigation technician, before partnering with White & Associates Insurance to form the Baldwin Conservation Group.
Daniel and his wife, Brittany, were married in 2019 and share a Boykin Spaniel pup named, Lea. Daniel loves being able to be outdoors with his family and is thankful his profession allows him a little extra time outdoors. He enjoys canoeing the Buffalo River, duck hunting, small mouth bass fishing and travelling with Brittany.

Richie’s father started Bodiford Insurance Agency in Selmer over 50 years ago. Richie followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the agency in 1987. He has been partnered with W&A for more than 20 years and says the best thing about the insurance business is being able to make a living by helping others. Richie and his wife, Lorrie, love to cheer on their daughter, Chelsea, who played basketball at Union University and is now pursuing a graduate degree. He enjoys raising horses and spending time with his friends and family.

Kristal began her insurance career in 2015. After being married to a guy who’s been in the industry most of their 20 year marriage, she felt like she was already in the club! Kristal is a licensed property and casualty agent. She enjoys spending time with friends and family and visits from her son who attends Union University. Stephen Crancer joined the Rector office over 30 years ago and partnered with White & Associates in January of 2018. Stephen is a licensed property, casualty, life and health agent, as well as a long time crop insurance consultant. Stephen and his wife, Michele, have four children, Hayden, Grayson, Marla and Landen. They have two pups, Bruno and Huey. Stephen is very passionate about bird hunting. He and his daughter, Marla, love to host hunts at their lodge and hunting club, Liberty Hill Outfitters.

Larry Lusk has joined W&A as a partner in Tiptonville, Tennessee. After spending 32 years in education, Larry is excited to dive back into the insurance industry and to be back with W&A. He is licensed in all lines and looks forward to being a permanent resident in the Tiptonville community. Larry has three children, Anna, Lawrence and Mimi, and a golden retriever named Mack. He is passionate about his faith, his family, and enjoys hunting, fishing, running and traveling. Dustin joined White & Associates in 2009 and became a partner in 2017. He is a licensed property, casualty, life and health insurance agent. Dustin graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Business Administration and Insurance and Risk Management in 2004. He spent the next four years learning many different aspects of the insurance industry as a Senior Claims Adjuster, Field Underwriter and Agency Owner with Farmers Insurance Group. Dustin and his wife, Anna Jayne, have two daughters, Mollie Claire and Emma Catherine. He enjoys sporting events and anything outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and skiing. Dustin’s favorite days are ones spent with his family traveling or going to the lake.

Tommy began his insurance career more than 35 years ago and has been a W&A partner for over 10 years. He says, “It’s a great thing to come to work doing something I love with a great group of people.” He and his wife, Debi, have three children: Brian, Brandon and Beth. They share five fantastic grandchildren: Sarah Jane, Reese, Caleb, Ann Taylor and Rebekah Ann. Tommy enjoys playing golf, ballroom dancing and traveling with Debi. He has been blessed to call Paris home for all his life and plans to keep it that way!
